The forgotten Disney princesses

Petition to Give Forgotten Disney More Love

Disney Princesses are one of the most popular Disney franchises. The official line up includes Snow White,Cinderella,Sleeping Beauty (Also known by her birth name Aurora, and her name when she was hiding in the forest, Briar Rose), Rapunzel, Belle,Ariel,Jasmine,Pocahontas,Mulan,Merida and coming soon Moana. Occasionally Elsa, Anna, Sofia, and the upcoming star of a new Disney Junior show Elena, are added to the list as well.

However these aren't the only Disney princesses.

Even though this blog is still fairly new, the first princess probably won't come as a surprise to you. It's Kiara from The Lion King 2: Simba's Pride. (Aka my favorite movie!)

Kiara is the daughter of Simba and Nala who are the king and queen of The Pride Lands, thus making her a princess.

I also think Kiara is a great role model that can teach us an important lesson "We are one"

Even The Lion Guard has been referring to her as a princess.

Now out next princess is the daughter of a princess in the franchise. Melody, from The Little Mermaid 2 return to the sea. She's the daughter of Ariel and Eric, and her dream is to become a mermaid.
She actually has been included in some Disney Princess related material in the early 2000s, most notably the Disney Princess sing a longs.

I adore Melody, she's as brave and adventurous as her mother is.

The next princess isn't even a princess at all, like Elsa, she's a queen! It's Kida from Atlantis (and the just as forgotten sequel Atlantis 2: The Return of Milo)

Her father, Kashekim was the king until his death, then his daughter took over. Kida is shown to be a kind hearted and caring queen.

While there are many other princesses we could also add to the list, we'll leave off with one more. Giselle from Enchanted.
In a sad case, she was intended to join the Disney princess line up, but couldn't due to the fact Disney would have to pay lifetime likeness fees to Amy Adams for using her likeness.
She may be a parody of the Disney princesses in general, but none the less she's as excitable, and kindhearted as the whole bunch of princesses.

She's also got an animal friend (Another Disney Princess must have!) A chipmunk named Pip.

That's all for now, and remember, We are one.
