Annie and Hallie are two twins who were separated as babies when their parents divorced. They reunite at Camp Walden where they learn they're twins. Hallie and Annie decide to switch places abd coax their parents to get back together. Annie lives in London with her mother Elizabeth James who is a dress designer, her grandfather Charles James, She's the nicer of the twins and is the first to notice their resemblance after the fencing match. and their butler Martin Hallie lives in Napa Valley California with her father Nick Parker who is a wine grower,her nanny Chessy, and her golden retriever Sammy. She's a little bit more tough minded than her sister and doesn't listen to her when she tells him their father is going to marry Meredith Blake, who is only into Nick for his money. Annie and Hallie care deeply for each other though.
